Successful Weekend

Well, I have started a scrapbook “challenge” with some friends. Once a month we’ll get together and create 5 Layouts. I found 5 LO sketches for us to work from, and everyone brought along their papers and pictures, and we got scrapping. Amongst the flurry of paper and the snipping of scissors, we managed to create 20 LO’s between us. It did take us the whole day, but it was great fun, and hugely inspirational. I definitely recommend getting together with a few friends if you have pages you want to get done.

I have so many pictures and holidays I want to scrap, and have come up with a method that works for me. I look at the photos from a trip -  I try and stick to 1 page per day, then I put all the pictures I like into a folder. Then take a look at the ones that work together, find a LO sketch that you want to use, and print the pictures to the relevant sizes. Then once you have the printed pictures, group them according to the LO’s, and find papers, ribbons, embellishments that work with the pictures. I put all this stuff into a folder, and then when I sit down to work on the LO’s, I work purely from the folder. This helps if you are at someone else’s house and cannot keep going back to your stash. I managed to create 10 LO’s in 1 day – so I totally chuffed with my success!

Here is one of the LO's I completed!
